Paolo Ludovici has been a partner of GPBL since 2021 following the merger with L&P – Ludovici Piccone & Partners, a firm he founded in 2014. Previously, he worked for twenty-three years at Maisto e Associati since its establishment, becoming a partner in 2000. He advises on all areas of tax law.

His expertise includes domestic and international corporate reorganizations, M&A and structured finance transactions, tax planning for high net-worth individuals and trusts. He often acts as an expert in criminal and tax proceedings. Since 2021, he has been awarded “Tax Star Status” by Chambers & Partners Europe on the back of overwhelming praise from clients. He is recognized “Leading Individual” by Legal500 EMEA and recommended “Band 1” in Chambers HNW Guide, furthermore he has been identified among the leading experts by Who’s Who Legal in Private Client and Corporate Tax practice. He has been awarded “Professional of the Year” at Legalcommunity Tax Awards 2022, 2020 and 2019 and he awarded the prize “Professional of the Year” for Tax Consultancy at Top Legal Awards 2021.

He regularly writes for Italian leading financial newspapers as well as for other major tax reviews and magazines. He regularly speaks at tax conferences and lectures in post-graduate specialization courses.

He has been recently appointed Vice President of the Tax & Legal & Compliance Commission in AIPB (Italian Private Banking Association) and he is a member of the Tax and Legal Commission in AIFI (Italian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association). He is a member of STEP Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners at Bocconi University.

He is admitted to the Italian Chartered Accountant Association in Milan.
